Project Background
Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. (ERRG) has been contracted by the Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command to provide indefinite quantity geotechnical consultation and testing services for active Naval and Marine Corps installations in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Work is performed under individual delivery orders. Services provided include geotechnical consultation for earthwork and foundations, pavement sections, lateral resistance for shallow foundations, seismic and geologic hazard analysis, estimation of foundation settlements, safety inspections of existing facilities, failure analyses and cost estimation. In addition, ERRG provides field and laboratory testing of soils and construction materials, the analysis of test results and provides recommendations for design and construction of foundations, earth structures, dams and slopes. Construction support services are also included under our general contract. ERRG also provides waste characterization and arranges off-site transportation and disposal for any hazardous wastes generated during site investigations.

To date, geotechnical investigations are ongoing or have been completed at the following sites: Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton - Proposed Intelligence Operations Center; Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton - Proposed Amphibious Operations Facility; Marine Corps Air Station at Yuma, AZ - Proposed New Facilities Ordinance Area; Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake, CA - Planned Upgrades for Armitage Airfield; and Marine Corps Air Station at Yuma, AZ - Proposed New Aircraft Maintenance Hangar and Aircraft Taxiway and Parking Area Construction.
